There are too many good things on at 9 o'clock on Thursdays. The Closer on More4, Cold Case on Sky 3 and Hotel Babylon on BBC1 >.< Damn television. And DC Comics is just as bad. They bring out too many comics that I want to read, but I know I can't afford to. Poot.

Eee, looks like I'll be going with LJ and Ruth to see Bon Jovi in London in June *excited* That is, if Wembley Stadium is finished on time and if Francesca hasn't sold her ticket to Christina. But yeah, I'm totally up for this. We're planning to make it a long weekend and go see Les Mis or Phantom as well. Yay West End!!!

Work's going well. I need to remember to do writing though; I'm supposed to get Leon an opening for my chapter by the end of this month, and since coming home I've lost track of days and dates.

Apologies for this being so disconnected. I'm trying to watch tv and type at the same time :) Plus, since moving home, not a lot happens to me during the day to write about. And when something does happen, like having an intellectual argument with my eleven-year-old sister, I forget about it too quickly.

-I wrote a covering letter to send with the faulty copy of The Phantom of the Opera. I bought it an age ago and when I got around to reading it, I found that pages 91-138 had been replaced by a reprint of pages 43-90 :8

-I finished reading The Victorian Periodical Press, which turned out to be not helpful at all for my thesis, but interesting nevertheless.

-I went down town and wandered about Waterstones for a while, but there was nothing I wanted to buy.

-I met up with Ruth for pizza. She'd just got back from the US with her parents. She was in Yellowstone, Las Vegas and San Francisco, and other places that I can't remember now, but she didn't get to New York, which is her favourite place in the world. We talked about time travel paradoxes, CSI and living for the holidays.

-I came home and watched To the Ends of the Earth. I kept wanting to slap the hero for being a complete bastard.

-I had two dreams: one involved me trying to hide a group of clones bred for transplants (kinda like Spares, or that new Ewan McGregor movie The Island) from this evil millionaire, and the other involved my sister Sharon making custom ponies. She customized a sitting plush with the Bat symbol in pink(!) and she customized my North Star as well.

-Philip's coming up some time later today to get a chair from Mark's house, and he's giving me a lift home cos I've got an appointment with the hairdresser before the holiday weekend. Oh yes, forgot to mention: Mark left yesterday to go climb Mount Kenya and then have a safari.

-I'd like to go on another "research trip" to London, but my funding stops at the end of September and I have to think about paying rent and so forth next semester.

-Listening to Live's album Throwing Copper reminds me of [livejournal.com profile] daisydayes, cos there's a song on it called "The Dam at Otter Creek" and another called "Waitress".

[Edit]-Shit. Russell Square was the Underground station closest to the place I stayed while in London.

[Edit 2]-And this just a day after London got the 2012 Olympics (which I was not expecting at all; I thought Paris would get it for sure). *bites lip* I hope Jenny's ok. I texted her, but the mobile phone networks are giving priority to the emergency services, so heaven knows when she'll get through.

[Edit 3]-She's ok. Jenny's ok; Ruth was in touch with her *wipes brow*
