Sketchy Sunday 52.1

Ugh, I've been horribly undisciplined about drawing these last three, four weeks. TV, reading, writing and general laziness got in the way. All I have for week 52 so far is this:




Hair practice! When I initially finished this, I wasn't happy with it but looking at it now, it's much better than I thought :)

I am determined to finish this diary!

I like that hairstyle. Also I know not really there exactly or anything but the little "where the mouth goes area" looks nice. Could totally see that being a more set mouth and it looks really nice. :)

Thank you :) The little mouth thing does look cute, doesn't it? And it stops her from looking like the freaky faceless people from Doctor Who's "The Idiot's Lantern."

Firstly, you're doing better than I've been doing lately!!
Laziness is a legitimate excuse sometimes, heheh. Sometimes laziness is the only thing that saves our sanity. :P

also writing is art, and is a viable substitute for sketching.

Hair looks good!! Like that you're using cross lines for features even if you didn't draw them in! And super happy to see you posting arts again. I miss it when you don't!!

I agree! Alas, it doesn't finish the 2014 diary, though... And it's now mid-April 2015.

Since I really wanted to focus on the hair, I decided that I wouldn't draw in the facial features, but I marked them out so I could get the positioning of the hair right. (Hope that makes sense; it did in my head, anyway.)
