Minty, I was wondering if you'd seen a movie called Alex and Emma. It's got Luke Wilson and Kate Hudson in it, and it's about writing a romance novel. It's no Oscar winner but it's cute and made me think of you.

Yep! I even own it (although it's wondered off at the moment). There were several dialog lines I really liked -- I can't remember the exact quotes, but they were about letting one's characters run off with the storyline, etc.
