In which Rhonda is lazy

I was very lazy yesterday, and watched movies all day. Lazy lazy Rhonda! *smacks self*

It's cos I worked too hard on Wednesday. I worked all day on Wednesday, until after 1 in the morning, and I worked away all the working energy I had for this week! All gone, thank you, come again!

My legs are cold. Why are my legs cold? They have no right to be cold, we're indoors, where it should be warm.

I watched Spirited Away again (well, part of it, because the rental DVD had been covered in sticky stuff which wouldn't shift). I want a soot-spider as a pet. They're so cute! And they eat Lucky Charms! *.*

My new bed, for my new bedroom at home, will be here today. I say, "my", it's really "our" and for tonight it's "Sharon's", because she threatened not to tape my cop shows on channel 5 unless I let her have the first night in the new bed *weeps*. She got to pick out the wallpaper, the curtains, the wood, the handles, the light fixtures, and she got to pick out the bed too. It's so not fair!

Admittedly, she had to do all that stuff, because I was in Belfast, and the room is hers the majority of the time, but come on, it's the principle of the thing, people!

Mum just messaged me to tell me the headmistress of my old secondary school is retiring at the end of August. No more "You are the creme de la creme, girls," for Coleraine High (*has no idea how to get those stress marks on the e's*). Not that they are the "creme de la creme" any more. By all accounts, academic standards there have fallen since the time I left. Ugh, I hope for the girls' sake that Miss Kelso doesn't get the job *shudder*. She was awful.

"My imaginary harem" -- who's in it? :D

The imaginary harem is in constant development, but you'll be pleased to know that Hugh Jackman is included and I may let you borrow him sometimes ;P Other members include Alan Rickman, Russell Crowe, Jude Law (who tends to get stabbed when bitch-fights start), Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Michael Shanks (Daniel in "Stargate SG-1"), Alexis Denisof (but only when he wears glasses), Vin Diesel's arms, Nicholas Cage, Jon Bon Jovi (who likes standing in thunderstorms wearing a white satin shirt), Kiefer Sutherland, Kurt Urban, Patrick Stewart's voice, and David Boreanez and his herd of goats :)

Note: The imaginary harem is not wholly mine; I share it with best mate Lesley. It grew out of a discussion of famous people we fancied, while listening to the Concerto de L'Aranjuez. I just started off describing a Spanish villa, full of our favourites, along to the music and it grew from there.

Who is Joe Ponta-whatsit and why is his hat so sexy?

Joe Pantoliano is an actor. Probably his best known role is the traitor Cypher in the first Matrix movie and he was also in "The Sopranos". He had the lead role in a short-lived show called "The Handler", in which he was often seen wearing a pork-pie(? - I don't know hat-names) hat tilted back on his head, which I thought made him look rather sexy :)

No, no imaginary buzzcocks! For the imaginary harem, see my answer to Minty. "Never Mind The Buzzcocks" is a British comedy panel quiz show, based around pop music. It's presented by Mark Lamarr, a DJ on BBC Radio 2, who looks like he ought to be a teddy-boy from the 50s. The captains of the opposing panels are Phil Jupitus, another radio DJ and a stand-up comic, and Bill Bailey, another comic whose stage-act includes him playing the keyboards and guitar. Mark does bitter sarcasm, Phil does good-natured bemusement, and Bill does weird and wonderful tangents. The show always succeeds in making me laugh.
