Exam weather, I hate you
May. 17th, 2005 10:29 amYou're all wonderful and sunny, and I have no one to go anywhere with *weeps*
On the other hand, exam season means that the computer rooms aren't so packed. No queuing for half an hour, yay! And then, holidays, when the invading hordes of pathetic undergrads go home. The campus shall be all mine again *purrs*
I think someone has moved into the third floor room again. There's lots of banging and creaking going on, and strange voices in the night. Maybe we have squatters *fears*
Ah, so it's a magpie nest that's right outside my window! I thought it might be a crow's, cos it was big and untidy, but there was a magpie working at it this morning. I was looking forward to watching baby birdies until I remembered the noise that magpies make in the morning *winces* Nooooo, no chakking! No chakking, or I shall bang the window at you (if I can get the strength to my fists).
I've been doing nothing since I got my paper done. I don't have anywhere to begin; I can't find any critical works on the topic I had lined up to do next. I asked Leon about it when I sent him my finished draft, but of course, he still hasn't got back to me *steams* Anyway, I don't want to do anything. I wish I could go on holiday somewhere, but I can't afford the time. I'll be so glad to get this thesis over and done.
Damn, I forgot about that presentation last Wednesday! It was about getting into careers outside of academia, like publishing or the media. And I was too strung out about my paper to remember *curses self*
I missed breakfast this morning because I ate the last of my cornflakes last night and couldn't be bothered going to buy more and having to come back to eat it, and I didn't want to get a fry either. So I am hungry now. But I can't be bothered to go eat *apathetic*
And I've managed to include a asterisked action/mood in every paragraph so far *vaguely interested*
I need a job.
