Some first impressions

So, I finally met Leaonia (lee-own-ah). First impressions:
- plain
- chubby
- quiet
- shorter than me
- dressed in old clothes (I deliberately chose slightly smarter and not-worn-this-week-yet clothes to try and make an impression)
- reminded me of Dee, except without the thick Dublin accent, the glasses, the black hair, or the forthrightness
- has a car
- took a back seat in the conversation
- has actually met my brother
- reacted quite well when I told her I collected My Little Ponies. Shocked, yes, but in an intrigued way rather than a what-kind-of-freak-are-you way.
- seems pretty easygoing about TV. I reckon I could probably overwhelm her easily if I tried
- lives on Dunluce Av at the mo (just across the way from me!)
Wellesley Av was dark and depressing. We drove round to look at Lower Windsor Av, but got a little confused, cos the guy on the phone had told me it was no. 2, but no. 2 was up for sale with some other company, and it was the house next door which was for rent. The outer walls were streaked with black marks where the rain had run down and I'd be worried about damp.
I wonder if we can stretch to paying £225 a month. I have some more numbers garnered here from the net. I should get a Belfast Telegraph, see what's in it. And visit some estate agents.
You get what you pay for, and with only 2 people, the price is always going to be steep. But if I can, I don't want to go over £200. I've been spoiled on Ulsterville, because it's such a lovely house: clean, carpetted, back garden, nice living room. And apartments are a different feel to a house; more professional than familial.
Aw, hell, listen to me, I'm turning into a property junkie!
