I suppose I should make it clearer, that with the majority of the marches there's no trouble at all. People go and hear the bands, have a picnic in the field, and if they're really boring, they'll listen to the speeches. It's just a few particular marches where things get blown out of proportion, especially in recent years.

The week of the Twelfth is a semi-official holiday, anyway; the university's gonna be shut, businesses close up, some people go abroad. It's a week off for everyone.
