Musing...

When I update my LJ at home, I can never put together a coherent narrative. Everything comes out disconnected. Yet when I update it in Belfast (like now), I'm much more organised. Why is this? Is it because home is simply boring with little happening that merits mention? But Belfast could more often than not be the same. Is it because I'm aware that using the internet at home adds to the phone bill and blocks any incoming calls, which means I don't spend the time composing what I could or want to say the way I do in Belfast, where internet access is free and bothers no one? Yes, that is a part of it, I think. Is it because I have to use the internet in the kitchen where I can be distracted by the people, noises and doings around me, whereas there are no such distractions in the university library? That's a BIG part of it.
